  1. Transcript of Bachelor degree

  2. Two recommendation letters (including one from a Mandarin language teacher or a referee that can properly evaluate the applicant's command of the Mandarin and English language)

  3. Research proposal in Chinese or English

  4. Autobiography in Chinese or English

  5. A 10-minute video including self-introduction, research interests, and specific research plans recordedn Chinese throughout or transcripts from either the Chinese classes you have taken before or a Chinese language proficiency test.

  6. Any documents that might be supportive (e.g. project report, academic awards, etc.)



  • If the applicant's first degree is not in social work and has not taken classes related to “social case work,”social group work” and “human behavior and social environment,” the applicant will be required to take these classes at the undergraduate level with a minimum of 3 credits for each class to satisfy the graduation requirements. However, these classes do not count towards graduation credits.

  • The admitted students, if not having enrolled on the specified dates, can apply   for retain their admission status and postpone their studies to the next academic year.

  • Admitted students shall take the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (Level 4, formerly known as the Superior level), which is held by Steering Committee for the Test of Proficiency-Huayu before registration. Those who do not reach the proficiency level shall take Chinese language courses as required.
